On August 18, Xiangxi Border City Airport in Hunan Province was officially opened to traffic. Xiangxi Border City Airport is located in Tianping Village, Huayuan Town, Huayuan County, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Hunan Province. The airport covers an area of 235 hectares with a total investment of 2.848 billion yuan. The design target is an annual passenger throughput of 300,000 people and a cargo throughput of 450 tons. The completion of Xiangxi Border City Airport is of great significance to improving the traffic pattern of Xiangxi and accelerating the development of tourism, trade, logistics and other industries.
